CanopyQuote Co.

Privacy Policy

CanopyQuote Co. — Draft for final legal review before launch. Last updated: October 2026.

Who We Are

CanopyQuote Co. ("CanopyQuote," "we," "us") operates this website as a matching service that connects homeowners in the Des Moines, Iowa area with local tree service companies. We are not a tree service contractor and we do not perform tree work.

Information We Collect

When you submit a quote request, we collect the information you provide in the form, which may include:

  • Your name, mobile phone number, and email address
  • The service address and ZIP code where work is needed
  • Details about the service requested (type of service, number and size of trees, location on the property, access notes, urgency, and your description of the job)
  • Your preferred contact method (call or text)

We also collect basic technical information automatically when you visit the site, such as your browser type, device information, and pages visited, through standard server logs and any analytics tools described below.

How We Use Your Information — and the Core Disclosure

The core of our service: when you submit a quote request and give the consent described below, we share your request — including your contact information and job details — with one local tree service company so that company can contact you about your request and provide a quote.

We use your information to:

  • Match your request with one local tree service company and pass the request to them
  • Communicate with you about your request (for example, confirming we received it)
  • Operate, maintain, and improve this website and our matching service
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

Communications Consent

By submitting the quote-request form and checking the consent box, you agree that CanopyQuote Co. may share your request with one local tree service company, and that the company may call or text you about your request at the number you provided, including by automated means. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP.

How We Share Information

  • One service provider per request: Your quote request is shared with one local tree service company, as described above.
  • Service vendors: We may use vendors that help us operate the website (such as hosting and form-processing providers), who receive information only as needed to perform their services for us.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

We do not sell your personal information to data brokers or marketing lists. Beyond the single-provider match you requested, the vendors described above, and legal requirements, we do not share your personal information.

Cookies and Analytics

This website may use cookies and similar technologies, and privacy-respecting analytics, to understand how visitors use the site and to improve it. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; the core quote-request function will still work. We do not use cookies to sell your information.

Data Retention

We retain quote-request information for as long as reasonably needed to operate the matching service, maintain records, and comply with legal obligations, after which we delete or de-identify it.

Your Choices

  • Opt out of texts: Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving texts about your request.
  • Opt out of calls/emails: Tell the tree service company that contacts you, or contact us, and ask not to be contacted further about your request.
  • Access, correction, deletion: You may contact us to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to request its deletion, subject to legal retention requirements. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we collect. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

This website is intended for adults arranging services for property they own or manage. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the current version, and material changes will be posted on this page.
